Accommodation

Are you located in the city centre?

Yes, The Emerald is located directly in the city centre of Prague, in the heart of the historic Old Town. Our luxury boutique apartments are just one minute from Old Town Square, with views of the Jewish Quarter from apartments facing Žatecká Street. The Rudolfinum concert hall is right around the corner, and Charles Bridge is only an 8-minute walk away.

Are your apartments suitable for families with children?

Children are of course welcome at The Emerald. However, please bear in mind that some of our apartment designs may not always be practical for young children. For example, you may need to carry strollers up a flight of stairs.

How many people can stay in each apartment?

The capacity of each apartment is listed on its dedicated page on our website in the accommodation section: https://emeraldprague.com/accomodation/. We offer 2 two-bedroom apartments, while the rest are one-bedroom apartments or studios. The apartment with the highest capacity is Iwa, which accommodates up to 7 guests (3 on extra beds). For larger groups, we are happy to suggest suitable apartment combinations or connected apartments — just reach out and we’ll help find the best option for your group.

Do you offer connecting apartments?

Yes. If you’re traveling as a family or group of friends, we offer connected apartment options: Arcanum (2) & Ancestral (2+2), Revoir (2) & Caviart (2+2), and Magnetude (2) & Savage (2+1). You can explore each of these in detail via our virtual tour: https://emeraldprague.com/virtual-tour/.

What time is check-in and check-out?

Check-in is at 15:00 and check-out is at 10:00. Any exceptions are subject to availability.

Is there an elevator in the building?

Yes, we do have an elevator. However, as The Emerald is located in a historical building, the elevator stops are located on the mid-landings between floors and therefore you will always have to climb a few steps.

Please note the first elevators stop is on the 1st floor, not the ground floor. The final stop of the elevator is on the 5th floor, therefore there are stairs leading to the 6th floor.

Is there a reception 24/7?

We do not have a 24/7 reception on site. Check-in is done online via our online reception platform which you can also use to book additional services. We also have an online concierge who can help you arrange anything you might want to experience. Our representatives are present on site during the day between 10am and 5pm if you need help with anything.

 

Do the rooms have terraces or balconies?

Yes, three of our apartments have either a small balcony or a terrace.

You can book either the Sage or the Sora room on the 5th floor, both of which have a beautiful small balcony facing the Žatecká street.

You can book the Joy apartment for a larger terrace facing the inner courtyard.

Do you have parking?

We do not have on-site parking, however, we recommend reserving a parking spot about 15 minutes away with the Mr. Park It app, using code PARKITEMERALD for a 10% discount using the website https://www.mrparkit.com/en

Are pets allowed?

At the Emerald Hotel Prague, we aim to maintain a serene and tranquil environment for all our guests. As such, we kindly inform you that we are unable to accommodate pets within our premises. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in upholding this policy.

Are your apartments spacious?

Yes, our apartments are generously sized, ranging from 25 m² studios to our largest 110 m² apartments. Whether you’re staying solo, as a couple, or with a group, you’ll find plenty of space to relax and feel at home.

Booking & Payment

What is your cancellation policy?

For our standard refundable rates, you can cancel or change your reservation up to 14 days before arrival. You may also choose a lower, non-refundable rate if you prefer. If you’re looking for more flexibility, take a look at our special packages here: Booking Packages, which offer cancellation options up to 7 or even 3 days before arrival.

How can I book an apartment?

You can book directly through our website using our online booking system. It’s simple and fast. If you prefer, we’re happy to help you make a reservation – just send us an email, a message on WhatsApp, or give us a call.

Do I need to pay in advance?

Yes. As we do not have a 24/7 on-site reception, all payments must be made in advance before arrival.

What payment methods are accepted?

We accept major credit and debit cards as well as wire transfers. Please inquire for specific options.

Can I cancel or modify my booking?

Our cancellation and modification policy is detailed in your booking confirmation. Please contact us directly if you wish to make changes or cancel your booking, and we will be happy to assist.

Do you offer any promo codes or direct booking discounts?

Yes! Sign up for our newsletter and receive a special promo code for up to 20% off your direct booking as a thank-you. Booking directly on our website is always cheaper than via online travel platforms. If you find a lower rate elsewhere, let us know — we will match it.

Apartment Amenities

Do you have airconditioning?

Yes, all of our apartments are equipped with airconditioning in the bedrooms.

Is there free Wi-Fi?

Yes, we provide fast and free Wi-Fi throughout all apartments.

Do the apartments have a kitchen?

Yes, all apartments are equipped with a fully fitted kitchen including cooking utensils, stove, fridge, etc.

Are towels and bed linen included?

Yes, high-quality towels and bed linen are included in your stay.

Do you provide toiletries?

Yes, all apartments are equipped with luxurious Moroccan Sense cosmetics. Guests can also purchase these products from us if they wish to take them home.

Is there a washer and dryer available?

Yes, we have a washer and dryer available for guest use during reception hours (10:00–17:00) for an additional fee. They are located in the reception area on the 3rd floor.

Guest Services

What additional services do you offer?

We offer a range of extra services to enhance your stay. These include massage treatments, private transfers, guided tours, and Prague City Card. We can also organize private dinners or prepare a curated selection of wines in your apartment prior to your arrival.

Do you offer breakfast?

At the moment, we do not offer individual breakfasts. However, for group bookings we can arrange breakfast or other catering services upon request. For individual guests, we are happy to recommend excellent nearby cafes and restaurants. Additionally, we offer a grocery pre-stocking service – let us know your preferences in advance and we can have selected food and drink items ready in your apartment upon arrival.

How does check-in work?

The Emerald has a very easy self check-in system. Once you make a reservation you will receive an email containing a link to our online reception system Alfred. Here you will have to input the reservation code, included in your confirmation email. You will need to fill in all the guest’s information here, including DoB, adress and ID number, which will then be electronically signed. Once you have completed this, you will receive an access code 2 days prior to your arrival. You will be able to use this access code to enter The Emerald, obtain your room keys and if neccessary also store your luggage in the luggage area. Please note that you will not receive an access code if you do not complete the self check-in which falls under czech regulations for accommodation.

Will I receive an access code without completing check-in?

No. Completion of self check-in is required by Czech accommodation regulations.

Is there luggage storage?

Yes. You can store your luggage in our luggage area before check-in or after check-out. It’s accessible with your access code. Please note that access codes are valid only from check-in to check-out. If you wish to use the luggage area outside of those times (e.g. early arrival or late departure), just let us know — we’ll be happy to provide you with a temporary access code.

Do you provide baby cots or high chairs?

Yes. Baby cots are available for a fee and high chairs are available free of charge. All items are subject to availability and should be requested in advance.

Do you offer housekeeping during the stay?

We do not offer automatic housekeeping during your stay. However, for stays of 5 nights or longer, we include one complimentary mid-stay cleaning. Additional cleaning can be booked at any time by any guest for an extra fee.

Venue Rental

Can I use the online booking system to reserve space for photo shoots or other events?

No, our online reservation system is intended exclusively for accommodation bookings. It cannot be used to reserve space for any type of event or venue rental. If used incorrectly, we reserve the right to cancel the reservation or apply a penalty fee. For all event or venue rental inquiries, please contact us anytime at [email protected]. Our spaces are unique, and so are the creative projects of our guests. We trust in the integrity of our community not to circumvent these terms.

What types of events can the apartments be rented for?

Our apartments are available for a wide range of uses, from private photo shoots to larger photography workshops, video or film productions, and other types of creative or professional events. Do you host exhibitions?

Yes! Our 3rd floor also serves as an art gallery. If you would like to view an exhibition or are interested in exhibiting your own work, please reach out to us at [email protected].

Which apartments can I rent for events or production?

All of our apartments are available for venue rentals. In-person viewings before the rental can also be arranged based on availability.

 

Can I view the apartment before booking it as a venue?

Yes, viewings can be arranged subject to availability.

Are there any restrictions for use?

The Emerald cannot be used to film or for taking photos of pornographic imagery. Parties are not allowed unless previously agreed upon. Pets are not allowed on the premises.

 

Do you have your own camera equipment?

We do not currently offer camera or lighting equipment. However, we can recommend local rental companies.

 

How can I request a price quote?

House Rules & Sustainability

Are parties allowed?

No, unless explicitly agreed in advance.

Are there quiet hours?

Yes, quiet hours begin at 22:00 and end at 7:00. Please respect other guests and neighbors.

Do you monitor the premises for safety?

For safety and peace of mind, selected common areas are monitored with security cameras.

Is smoking allowed?

No, all our apartments are non-smoking.

Is The Emerald eco-friendly?

Yes. We use environmentally friendly cleaning products, support waste sorting, and work with local suppliers whenever possible. We also collect and recycle used coffee capsules and strive to reduce single-use items. For example, our toiletries are provided in refillable dispensers and we do not provide single-use hotel slippers in the apartments — however, guests who require them can purchase a pair for a symbolic €1 at reception
